About
At the age of five, I faced a life-altering challenge when I was paralyzed from the waist down. After learning to walk again, running was the last thing on my mind. However, after eventually lacing up to add cardio to my gym routine, a shift occurred in my mind—running became my lifeline.
Based in Cape Town, my journey has been shaped by resilience. After facing three consecutive “did-not-finish” (DNF) results at the grueling 89km Comrades Marathon, I finally crossed the finish line on my fourth attempt. That turning point taught me how to sit in the “pain cave,” welcome the discomfort, and trust my preparation.
As an active member of the Mavericks Athletics Club and founder of Johannesburg’s 5AM Club, my mission is to foster a space where runners of all levels can grow together, prioritizing mental wellness and authentic community connection.
